This is the second installment of the webinar series “Assuring a Culture of Health & Performance," presented by IBM Watson Health in partnership with Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

Right now, our nation is facing a trifecta of hardship: (1) the public health crisis of COVID-19, (2) social and racial injustice, and (3) economic turmoil. In this discussion, we will focus on the employee health pillar, highlighting that this time in history could be the most influential moment for employers to align tighter with public health. We will discuss how it is essential for employers to handle all three of these issues in unison and the considerable impact uniting with public health has on the equity of their business, the health of their employees, and the communities they live in.

Kyu Rhee, MD, MPP, Vice President and Chief Health Officer, IBM Corporation and IBM Watson Health and Howard Koh, MD, MPH, Harvey V. Fineberg Professor of the Practice of Public Health Leadership at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health will host this very important discussion with:

  • Ron Goetzel, PhD, Senior Scientist and Director of the Institute for Health and Productivity Studies (IHPS) at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and Vice President of Consulting and Applied Research for IBM Watson Health
  • Glorian Sorensen, PhD, MPH, Professor of Social and Behavioral Sciences at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and Director of the Harvard Chan Center for Work, Health and Wellbeing
