The 5th National HealthCare Ergonomics Conference will take place September 8-11, 2014, in Portland Oregon. The conference is jointly presented by the American Association for Safe Patient Handling and Movement (AASPHM), the Oregon Coalition for Healthcare Ergonomics (OCHE), and Oregon OSHA.
The conference provides an opportunity to:
- Learn about current evidence-based and best practices related to healthcare worker and patient safety ergonomics

Dr. L. Casey Chosewood, Senior Medical Officer in the Office of Strategy and Innovation at the Centers for Disease and Control and Prevention, will speak on NIOSH's Total Worker Health in Health Care and Bill Marras, PhD, CPE, will share current research on causation and prevention of back injuries related to patient and materials handling.
