Thriving from Work: Workplaces and Communities

September 2, 2021 – June 30, 2022

The objective of this project is to build on work conducted through a previous NIOSH-funded ERC pilot grant that supported the development of a valid and reliable measure of Thriving from Work; and to leverage the unique situation created by the Covid-19 pandemic to generate etiologic evidence on the connections between workplaces, communities, and individuals during a crisis. This pilot project has two aims: (1) generate longitudinal evidence on workers’ psychological/emotional, physical, and social functioning, work-life integration, basic needs, and experiences of work during the Covid-19 pandemic; and (2) explore the relationships between work-related well-being (Thriving from Work), community well-being, and individual/general well-being (Flourishing).
