The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), Office for Total Worker Health, along with us (Center for Work, Health, and Well-being) and 13 other partners are sponsoring the First International Symposium to Advance Total Worker Health.

Our Center, in addition to being a partner, will offer more than 20 presentations, including a preconference workshop, plenary sessions, and panel presentations.
The Symposium will be held on the campus of the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda. Event highlights include:
- An opening session with renowned national and international leaders
- Three plenary sessions that describe new frontiers in worker health, safety, and well-being
- More than thirty-six 75-minute scientific and practice sessions with leading experts demonstrating current research and workplace approaches that aim to integrate health protection and health promotion
- A poster session with 40-plus posters describing novel research and best practices on safeguarding and promoting worker health
- Pre- and post-conference workshops for professional development with strategies and implementation tools for creating enhanced cultures of safety and health
- A town hall forum on the national occupational research agenda for total worker health and future workforce development
