1st International Symposium to Advance Total Worker Health

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), Office for Total Worker Health, along with us (Center for Work, Health, and Well-being) and 13 other partners are sponsoring the First International Symposium to Advance Total Worker Health.

Our Center, in addition to being a partner, will offer more than 20 presentations, including a preconference workshop, plenary sessions, and panel presentations.

The Symposium will be held on the campus of the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda. Event highlights include:

  • An opening session with renowned national and international leaders
  • Three plenary sessions that describe new frontiers in worker health, safety, and well-being
  • More than thirty-six 75-minute scientific and practice sessions with leading experts demonstrating current research and workplace approaches that aim to integrate health protection and health promotion
  • A poster session with 40-plus posters describing novel research and best practices on safeguarding and promoting worker health
  • Pre- and post-conference workshops for professional development with strategies and implementation tools for creating enhanced cultures of safety and health
  • A town hall forum on the national occupational research agenda for total worker health and future workforce development
